This page explains the optional booking texts sent by LavaEgg Scheduler. It covers both places a person can opt in: the Scheduler booking form, and Tap4Tables checkout. Both use the same policies.
Who sends the texts
LavaEgg Scheduler, operated by LAVA EGG LLC, sends the texts from one shared number. Every text starts with "LavaEgg Scheduler:" and names the business the booking is with in the body.
A client business does not write or send the messages. If a sample or a checkbox mentions Shear Global Salon, that name is only an example of the business the customer is booking with. Shear Global Salon is not the sender. Tap4Tables is LAVA EGG LLC's own table-and-chair rental business. Texts about a Tap4Tables rental still come from LavaEgg Scheduler. They say "your Tap4Tables rental" and never start with "Tap4Tables:".
What texts are sent
Texts are transactional only. They are booking confirmations, reminders, and changes or cancellations, plus the opt-in confirmation and replies to HELP, STOP, and START. No marketing messages are sent.
For a business that uses LavaEgg Scheduler, the texts are about that appointment: confirmation, reminder, and a change or cancellation. For a Tap4Tables rental, the texts are confirmations, delivery and pickup updates, and changes.
How often
Message frequency varies, usually 2-4 messages per booking.

STOP, START, and HELP
Reply STOP to opt out. Reply STOP to cancel at any time. Because all LavaEgg Scheduler texts come from one number, STOP ends texts about bookings with every business that uses LavaEgg Scheduler, including Tap4Tables. STOP is number-wide.
Reply START to resubscribe. START or UNSTOP fully undo the block.
Reply HELP for help. Help is at https://lavaeggscheduler.com/help and support@lavaegg.com.
Consent is not a condition of booking. You can finish a booking with the box left unchecked.

How consent is collected
Consent is collected on a web form. An optional checkbox sits directly under the mobile number field. It is unchecked by default. It is separate from accepting the Terms of Service and separate from any email opt-in. Staff cannot tick it for a customer. Leaving it unchecked does not block the booking.

On a live booking page, Shear Global Salon is replaced with the name of the business the customer is booking with. The SMS Terms and Privacy Policy links stay on lavaeggscheduler.com.

On a toll-free number, the carrier network sends the STOP reply, so a custom STOP text may not display. If one can be set, it would be:
